Over the years we have eliminated other brands as we have found them to be occasionally substandard. In addition, these brands offer some, or all, of their colors with Algae Block. Algae Block means that the shingles are manufactured using copper granules that prevent or limit the growth of algae on a roof. Addicott Roofing has been using some form of algae block shingles for over 25 years and with very good success. It may not be possible to solve all moss and algae problems, but using an algae block material is the best option available. It makes it possible for you to have little or no maintenance required on your new roof. The shingle manufacturers we use have excellent track records and consistently offer quality shingles.
